Walkers Cycling are a family owned and operated Bike Shop located in Kilmaurs, East Ayrshire. We've been trading now for over 10 years, and offer a great range of bikes, accessories and services including repairs and maintenance, bike fitting and coaching, classes, and we support a thriving cycling club – Walkers Cycling Club which provides for all disciplines and abilities!
The family have been involved in Cycling since 1989, when they first caught the Mountainbike bug, and have been involved heavily in club cycling, racing, organising and administering cycle sport in Scotland and the UK. John and Susan Walker opened the shop in 2003 as a “retirement project”, and it quickly grew to being Ayrshire’s leading cycling specialist. Now run by husband and wife team Neil and Anna Walker, the shop supplies bikes for all cyclists from Bianchi, Cube, Dawes, Giant and Raleigh, as well as specialist frames from Kinesis and Ritte, and are a Mavic wheel specialist.
After competing for Scotland in the 1998 Commonwealth Games for Scotland, Neil Walker worked for 7 years for the Scottish and British Cycling Teams in various roles, culminating as Performance Manager for Scottish Cycling in the build up to the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. Neil joined the business in 2007, bringing extensive cycling and coaching knowledge, and now providing one of the leading Bike Fitting Services in Scotland.
