This was the 2015 Cape Argus Tour Route as ridden by the Ghana national cycling team in 2015. The route travels through the very heart of the Cape around the Cape Horn and the historic False Bay.
if scenery is important to you it doesn't get much better than this. Its a tough day with plenty of Cat 4 and 5 climbing but who cares, it's in South Africa!
Leaving Cape Town the road follows the highways out of the city and down the coast passing through Kalk Bay, Fish Hoek and Simon's Town before hitting its most southernly point. The route turns West heading overland to Kommetjie, through Hout Bay and Camps Bay then back through Sea Point to Green Point.
The route is designed as a closed road event and the roads will be busy so take care and obey the rules of the highways.
This is a 70.37 mi route in Cape Town, 11, South Africa. The route has a total ascent of 5942.08 ft and has a maximum elevation of 989.83 ft.
Thanks to Anthony Boakye from team Ghana for this one!
